Why vetting is a platform-level standard
When someone enters your home to clean, trust is extended before the work begins. Helpling sets platform-level requirements that every partner agency must meet before a cleaner can be listed — regardless of the cleaner's experience level.
The same three-step process applies to every cleaner submitted by every partner agency. There is no faster path onto the platform.
Step 1: Legal status and right to work
Before a cleaner can progress, Helpling verifies identity and right-to-work status in Singapore. Cleaners who cannot provide valid documentation are not listed.
Step 2: Clean criminal record
Anyone with a criminal record is not approved for listing on Helpling. This is a hard requirement — it applies equally to every cleaner submitted by every partner agency, without exception.
Step 3: Skills and aptitude test
The final stage is a practical assessment covering cleaning knowledge and technique — handling of fabrics, surfaces, appliances, and common cleaning scenarios. Cleaners who do not pass are not listed.
What happens after a cleaner is listed
Listing is not the end of standards. Customer feedback after every session feeds into a cleaner's standing on the platform. Concerns raised to Home Advisors are investigated, and cleaners can be removed where warranted.
